Elarra Tour

Located in the mountains above Sonoma Valley, Elarra is an 80 acre parcel spanning two watersheds at an elevation of 1700 feet. The houses are located on a ridge with views of Sonoma Valley and across to Mount Tamalpais, Mount Diablo, and in the distance, San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. Surrounding the house are campsites to hold overflow crowds on party weekends.

We completed the main house in 2018; you can see info on it here.

Just up the hill from the guest house you will find the observatory. In addition to its astronomical role, the observatory doubles as an outdoor theater in a spectacular venue far above the lights of the valley floor. Past the observatory a bit you will find Glad's House. This tiny romantic cottage comes complete with an ensuite and is a great place to overnight if you are looking for something private.

The East side of the property is a reserve protected by the Sonoma Land Trust in which we have built about 5 miles of hiking trails. In addition to the flora and fauna, there are a number of waterfalls that you can hike to that are spectacular in the Spring. The wildflower season starts in January with the Manzanitas and flows through to July.
